  • Don’t be partial: Sticking to your topic does not mean that you support your statements even if it its wrong. Acknowledge your weaknesses too. Highlight the strong points so that the reader does not get an impression that you are in complaining mode.
  • Organize and reorganize: It is important so that your writing does not go out of track. Do not jump back and forth. Keep your points clear. Do not overstate or understate your Viewpoints.
  • Make relevant transitions: They should be smooth and one sentence should be connected with the other sentence and same is the case with the paragraphs. Make a linear progression from the starting till end.
  • Write what you mean: Colloquial phrases ad informal conversations should be avoided. Use literal meaning words.
  • No redundancy: Most of the time researchers need to maintain the word limit and that encourages redundancy. If one or two words can convey your meaning explicitly, avoid using twenty words.
  • Sound professional and diplomatic: To avoid unprofessionalism, read your essay through the eyes of others. Eliminate any part if it looks like defensive your viewpoint or makes other person angry. Reframe your sentences.
  • Organize your overall structure: Structure it using sections and subsections. Each paragraph should be assigned one relevant topic and its subtopic should have sub relevant points.
  • Make your academic piece of writing grammatically correct: Take care of periods, punctuation marks, exclamations, points, colons, semicolons, commas etc.
  • Introduction and Conclusion have important contents: These involve prominent contents and are read by people paying focus.
  • Do not get confuse between homonyms: Spell checkers play a great role here. Such words have big difference in their meanings. Do not get confused between illicit and elicit, to, too and two etc.
  • Use contractions and capitalizations only whenever needed. Otherwise you may avoid them.
  • Follow your instructor’s guidelines: Check out if they want the thesis to be written in MLA or APA style.
